We are the Forest of Dean group of the Riding for the Disabled Association.
We are a charity, based in the Forest of Dean, run wholly by volunteers, providing opportunities to ride for local people (children & adults).
We operate from Severnvale Equestrian Centre and work with people from the Forest of Dean and Monmouth areas.
Riding a horse or pony provides people with therapy, opportunity for exercise, achievement, enjoyment and social interaction.
Our group is entirely self-funded to pay for running costs, equipment and specific support for clients. We raise funds through events, donations, and through easyfundraising, and our local Forest Lottery.
We are affiliated to the national Riding for the Disabled Association and work under their guidance and all volunteers are trained to a high standard.
